Ahintha Kandamby , Ph.D., P.E., CFM

Dr. Ahintha Kandamby is a professional engineer and a vice president at WSP in New York practicing in Water Resources Engineering and Hydraulic and Hydrology (H&H) Modeling. He has a master’s degree in Deep Water Oil Spill Modeling and a doctoral degree in Numerical Modeling of riverine ice formation and consequent 2D Flood Modeling from Clarkson University, NY. He is technical director at WSP and a subject matter expert in surface water, dam safety and dam designs, coastal modeling, green infrastructure and underground storm sewer hydrodynamics modeling. He also leads the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling practice for WSP northeast, working on large dams, bridges and sewer design projects. Dr. Kandamby has been in the industry working as an engineering consultant for more than 15 years.
