John Giffune

Partner at Verrill Dana, LLP in PortlandMr. Giffune is a member of Verrill Dana, LLP’s Construction Law and Litigation Practice Groups. He has experience representing owners, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals in litigation in the state and federal courts of Maine and Massachusetts, as well as arbitration and mediation proceedings. His practice includes the drafting and negotiating of design and construction contracts for traditional design-bid-build projects, as well as projects using alternative delivery methods including design-build. Mr. Giffune represents businesses and individuals in connection with a variety of commercial disputes. He co-wrote the Maine chapter of a book published by the ABA titled Performance Bond Manual and holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Syracuse University.
