Jason Partian

MBA Engineers, BirminghamMr. Partain, an associate with MBA Engineers, Inc., is a consulting structural engineer with experience in structural engineering design, forensics, and condition assessments for single and multi-family residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial structures. His design experience includes designing buildings using steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed steel, and wood. Much of his project experience focuses on wood materials and, in 2014, his design of the Habiframe, Inc., wood-framed residential tornado storm shelter was awarded the US Wood Design Awards Juror’s Choice Award. Mr. Partain is also active in engineering standards work, including with the American Wood Council, and he has published articles in both regional and national publications. Mr. Partain earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama and he holds professional engineering licensure in multiple states. Mr. Partain is the 2018 president of the Structural Engineer’s Association of Alabama.
