In September 1991, Mr. Puckett became the second certified Timberline estimating consultant, two weeks after Nick Papadopoulos, founder of Eos Group, was certified. In 2009, Mr. Puckett led the Aspen K-base forward integration evaluation at Fluor-Daniel. Estimating software evaluated included MC2, Sage (Timberline), and WinEst. In addition to estimating and project management, he has an extensive background in computerized estimating and in establishing computerized job cost accounting and control systems. Mr. Puckett has worked in the construction industry for 44 years. Throughout his career, he has held positions as estimator, project manager and project controls manager. And he has successfully participated in key engineering and project management roles on projects up to $2.74 billion in contract value on water and wastewater, deep foundations, pulp and paper, automotive foundry, cement, oil and gas, alternative “green” energy, and a major lift bridge. In addition to estimating and project management, Mr. Puckett is licensed as a professional engineer (PE) and his record is verified and maintained by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. He is also certified as a cost engineer by the American Association of Cost Engineers and has an extensive background in computerized estimating and in establishing computerized job cost accounting and control systems.
