Shareholder, White Arnold & Dowd P.C.Mr. Potts works in the field of general insurance defense. He has handled a variety of matters within the field, including automobile liability, tractor trailer litigation, premises liability, real estate contract disputes, construction litigation, insurance coverage disputes, employment litigation, products liability and wrongful death lawsuits. He has previously been employed in the litigation department of a national casualty underwriter. Mr. Potts has tried 40 jury trials in both state and federal court. In over 90 percent of these cases, he was able to obtain a verdict for the defendant or keep the verdict below the plaintiff’s last settlement demand. In 2010 and 2012, Mr. Potts was recognized as one of the most prolific trial lawyers in Alabama by the Alabama Jury Verdict Reporter. He is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Potts earned his J.D. degree from the University of Alabama School of Law.
