Mugdha Flores is a marine biologist and science communicator. She currently works in Science and Policy communication for Washington State’s Department of Ecology. Ms. Flores spent 3 years as the Education Director at Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii, a non-profit organization, where she developed outreach programs on marine debris and environmental pollution. Ms. Flores has also worked in deep-sea exploration, as a researcher and science communicator aboard Exploration Vessel Nautilus. She occasionally leads students on international academic programs to help foster a love and curiosity of the ocean in the next generation. When she isn’t working, she loves spending time with her 3 dogs and husband as they explore the Pacific Northwest.
