Mr. Thompson currently leads MSA Professional Services Water Resources Specialty team of seven professionals out of their Madison, Wisconsin, office. They serve clients in Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, and Minnesota. He has over 20 years of experience, specializing in stormwater management including watershed management activities ranging from wetland restoration to aquatic habitat assessments, lake water quality improvement, flood reduction, and development regulation. He is a registered professional engineer in the states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois and is also a certified floodplain manager. In March 2014, Mr. Thompson was elected to the board of the Iowa Floodplain and Stormwater Management Association (IFSMA). He also serves on the Legislative Committee of the Wisconsin Association for Floodplain, Stormwater, and Coastal Management (WAFSCM).
