Braham, P.e., Dr. Andrew
Dr. Andrew Braham, P.E., graduated from the University of Wisconsin with his B.S. and M.S. degrees, and from the University of Illinois with his Ph.D. degree. Between his masters and doctorate, Dr. Braham worked with Koch Materials Company as a field engineer and a research engineer, developing and tracking field performance of innovative pavement maintenance and rehabilitation products. After his Ph.D., he was a post-doctoral research fellow at Southeast University in Nanjing, China. Dr. Braham is currently an associate professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas, where he has continued to study transportation materials, while expanding into sustainability. He has taught five different undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Arkansas in transportation and sustainability.
Dr. Braham has published a textbook in sustainability, Fundamentals of Sustainability in Civil Engineering, has written 25 peer-reviewed journal publications, and has given over 120 presentations around the world. He has developed an online, on-demand certificate program with Asphalt Emulsion Manufacturing Association titled: “Introduction to Asphalt Emulsion” and developed the online Pavinar webinar series. He is a director-at-large for the Association of Asphalt Paving Technologists, is an editorial board member for two journals, and serves on three committees of the Transportation Research Board.
