Doug R. Batt, P.E., is the branch manager of CTL Engineering’s Cincinnati office. Mr. Batt also serves as a project manager and geotechnical engineer where he is responsible for the supervision of professional, technical and laboratory personnel and resources performing geotechnical engineering services. Mr. Batt has more than 22 years of experience as a geotechnical and materials engineering consultant covering a variety of infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects throughout the United States. His technical and project management experience includes engineering consultation to legal counsel on litigation cases, geotechnical explorations, site development evaluations,foundation design and evaluations, and construction materials testing and inspections for the following types of projects: roadways and bridges; reinforced earth embankments, earth dams, and earth retaining systems; slope stability analyses and landslide remediations; above and below-ground fuel and water storage tanks; wastewater treatment facilities; manufacturing andparking facilities; and multistory office, hotel and school buildings.Mr. Batt received his B.S. (Civil Engineering) and M.S. (Geotechnical Engineering) degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He is a registered professional engineer in Ohio, Kentucky, and New Jersey and has served in various capacities for engineering societies (ACEC, ASCE, SAME, ASHE). He provides professional development presentations and seminars to engineers, architects, construction managers and contractors.
