Daniel Smith

President, Primarium, LLCMr. Smith is a highly accomplished professional with environmental policy and management expertise in the energy sector who has a diverse background as a lawyer and professional engineer with PhD studies focused on oil sands development. He is experienced in the areas of regulatory and legislative lobbying, establishing agency rulemaking advocacy positions, external environmental relations, permitting, directing the day-to-day activities of environmental staff and third-party consultants, and establishing corporate environmental policies and compliance strategies. Mr. Smith has extensive experience in planning, designing, permitting, and managing all aspects of large cross-country natural gas pipeline projects. He is also an experienced graduate-level adjunct professor at Samford University where he teaches courses in the areas of environmental law, sustainability, project management, and strategic planning. Mr. Smith has held leadership positions with non-profit boards, business coalitions, trade associations, and professional organizations.
