Mr. Battaliois a professional engineer with a Masters of Engineering from UC Berkeley. He has more than 30 years’ experience in restoration design, nature-based multi-objective flood plain enhancement, coastal engineering and geomorphology, flood and erosion hazards, and sea level rise resilience and adaptation planning. Mr. Battaliois is licensed to practice civil engineering in six coastal states, including California. He is presently Senior Engineer and Vice President at Environmental Science Associates (ESA) and based in San Francisco. He also serves on the Engineering Criteria Review Board and the Design Review Board for the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission.
