Andrew Schneider

D&D Engineering, LLC, Huntingtown, MDMr. Schneider is a licensed fire protection engineer in multiple states and has been the president of D&D Engineering, LLC, since its inception in 2014, providing code consulting, design, and plan review services. He graduated from the Fire Protection Engineering program at the University of Maryland in 1996. Work experience includes eight years as a consulting engineer for national fire protection and code consulting firms and ten years as senior fire protection engineer overseeing plan review and code enforcement for the Southern Region of the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office before opening D&D Engineering, LLC. Mr. Schneider served on several NFPA 101/5000 code committees and worked with the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office at ICC hearings relative to residential sprinkler requirements. He has also served on various code committees and task groups for local jurisdictions including Prince William County, Virginia, and Prince George’s County, Maryland. Mr. Schneider’s extensive experience as both a consulting engineer and as an authority having jurisdiction gives him insight to the code process, design needs, and code enforcement.
