Amelia Ostholthoff

Attorney with McKean Smith, LLC, in PortlandMs. Ostholthoff knows her way around the courtroom and has spent most of her professional practice advocating for real people in court. She began her career as a juvenile public defender representing parents and children facing involuntary involvement in the dependency and delinquency systems in Multnomah County. While performing public defense work Ms. Ostholthoff observed that families who accessed the family law system creatively and appropriately during an investigation often protected themselves and their children against further intrusions by the state. Desirous of the skills she knew would assist her clients, she focused on expanding her practice into the traditional family law realm. Her practice at McKean Smith LLC includes both family law cases and dependency cases with the Department of Human Services Child Welfare division.
