Ms. Acosta began her career in municipal government in 2014 as a clerk for the zoning office in a local municipality. She never imagined a life in building, zoning and code enforcement. But, under the prompting of local officials and the teaching of her mentor, Shawn McGlynn, a career blossomed. In 2019, Ms. Acosta joined SFM Consulting, LLC, as an associate. She is an integral part of the team providing building, zoning and code enforcement services to several municipalities across north-eastern Pennsylvania. She is a certified building code official, certified zoning officer, and certified housing and property maintenance inspector working toward additional certifications through the ICC. Ms. Acosta is a seasoned instructor with PCCA, PMPEI and PSATS.
