Ms. Eierman is an environmental horticulturist and ecological landscape designer specializing in native plants. Based in New York, Ms. Eierman teaches at the New York Botanical Garden, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, The Native Plant Center, School and several other institutions. She is an active speaker nationwide on many ecological landscape topics. Ms. Eierman also provides horticultural consulting and landscape design services to landscape architects and designers, homeowners, municipalities, and commercial clients. Author of The Professional Amenity Plant Appraisal HandbookIn the late 1970’s and early 1980’s, Mr. Shaw grew up in the sleepy little Appalachian town of Bristol, Tennessee, a small city that rests on the boundary between the two states of Tennessee and Virginia. Upon graduation from Bristol Tennessee High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy where he served as ships baker aboard the USS Shark (a fast attack submarine) for four years. When his enlistment came to an end, he took a job selling lawn care service to residential owners in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and later, moved to Knoxville, Tennessee where he worked as general manager of a landscape contracting company while attending the University of Tennessee for Ornamental Horticulture and Landscape Design. Eventually, Mr. Shaw took over as president of a wholesale tree care supply business and built the company from $70,000 in sales to over $1.2 million in just seven years. During that time, he married his wife Kristin and they had two children together. With encouragement from Kristin he also developed an interest in arboricultural consulting, and on May 11th, 1999, he became the first American Society of Consulting Arborist (ASCA) member in Middle Tennessee. From 1998 to 2003, he also served on the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council. Mr. Shaw has since consulted with private landowners, insurance companies, attorneys, tree companies, cooperative extension service agents, country clubs, state urban forestry organizations, universities, and colleges. He has worked on some of the most challenging, difficult, and highest profile cases across the United States. Mr. Shaw is a registered consulting arborist, a board-certified master arborist and one of only a handful of arborists worldwide who consult full-time. He is a UAS pilot, a real estate appraiser and he brings a broad range of skills from a variety of scientific and professional disciplines. An autodidact, Mr. Shaw brings a unique perspective and a talent for learning to any project. He has developed authoritative expertise to create a greater understanding in tree related matters.

Owner of Hanrahan Environmental, LLCMr. Hanrahan has more than 45 years of industry experience. In addition to presentations in Canada, Taiwan and the Dominican Republic, he has also presented at the national level for many organizations, including the International Erosion Control Association, Land Improvement Contractors of America, the Geotechnical Fabrics Institute, the National Working Waterfront Network, and the American Water Works Association.
His articles have been published in many magazines, including Erosion Control, Land & Water, Geosynthetics, and Landscape Architect & Specifier News.
Mr. Hanrahan has produced webinars for the International Erosion Control Association, the International Association of Hydroseeding Professionals, the New York State Society of Professional Engineers, and Forester University. He has also served as a guest lecturer at the University of Mississippi, Ohio Northern University, University of New England, and Vermont Technical College.
He has also been active in industry organizations. He was National President of the International Management Council in 1991-92, and also served four terms as President of the Northeast Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association. He is also a member of the Senior Advisory Committee of Envirocert.
Mr. Hanrahan has developed and delivered training events throughout his career. From 2008 to the present, he has organized coastal erosion control training events up and down the New England Coast, with multiple seminars in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. Event co-sponsors for these events have included the Maine Department of Environmental Protection, Maine Sea Grant, the Rhode Island Coastal Management Council, the University of Rhode Island Coastal Resources Center, Connecticut College and Connecticut Sea Grant.
He has also assisted with the development of erosion control standards with the Illinois Tollway Authority, and the State Departments of Transportation in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Illinois.

She has spent 26 years as a consultant and municipal engineer, project manager, stormwater compliance advisor, and infrastructure and restoration designer. She has a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Akron, Ohio and is a registered engineer in six states. City of WardGary Meadows recently retired from more than 40 years in the fire service. During his time in the fire service, he spent more than 21 years with the Cabot Fire Department in Cabot, Arkansas, a suburb of Little Rock. During his career with the fire department, he served as firefighter, fire marshal, and more than 10 years as fire chief which included plan reviews, building inspection and fire/building code enforcement. In addition, Mr. Meadows has also spent more than 19 years as a statewide instructor with the Arkansas Fire Training Academy, a division of Southern Arkansas University Tech, teaching fire and building codes to fire and building officials throughout the state. He has simultaneously served as a city planner for more than 20 years by serving as vice chairman of the Cabot Planning Commission and chairman of Ward Planning Commission. Mr. Meadows is currently employed by the City of Ward, in central Arkansas, as the building inspector and chief building official. He is certified through the International Fire Service Accreditation Council as an Inspector l, ll, and lll. He is an accomplished building inspector and plans examiner, with 20 years of experience in public and non-profit code enforcement and inspections. Professor in the Water Resources Group of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Auburn University.Dr. Vasconcelos obtained his BS degree in Civil Engineering (1995) and his MS degree in Environmental Technology and Water Resources (2000) at the University of Brasilia, Brazil. His PhD degree was obtained in 2005 at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. In the past he held a professor appointment at the University of Brasilia (2006-2009), and prior to this was an employee in the area of water resources at the waterworks authority in Brasilia (CAESB, 1999-2006), and prior to that at Brazil Federal District’s urban infrastructure company (NOVACAP, 1996-1999). His research interests include unsteady/multiphase flows, urban water infrastructure, headwater watersheds, interactions between surface water, and groundwater flows. Applications of his research include understanding operational issues and behavior of hydraulic systems in extreme flow conditions, often caused by extreme rainfall and urbanization. Dr. Vasconcelos techniques includes on laboratory investigations, numerical modeling development and field work research. He serves as an associate editor of the ASCE Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, MDPI Water and CHI Journal of Water Management Modeling. Dr. Vasconcelos also serves as chair of the ASCE-EWRI Two-phase Flows in Urban Water Systems, and past chair for Hydraulic Structures Committee. He serves as reviewer for various journals in the area of hydraulics, fluid mechanics, and water resources. As a consultant, he has contributed toward the design of several hydraulic systems, including the Washington DC Anacostia Tunnel and London’s Thames Tidewater Tunnel. Dr. Vasconcelos published 58 articles in peer-reviewed journals, 16 chapters in peer-reviewed books and monographs, over 70 papers in international conferences and meetings, among other types of creative production. He advised five PhD Students, 22 MS students, and served in various graduate students committees. During his career, Dr. Vasconcelos was the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Associate Editor Award, by the Environmental and Water Resources Institute, American Society of Civil Engineers; the 2018 Telford Premium by the Institution of Civil Engineers, UK; and the 2014 James M. Robbins National Excellence in Teaching Award by Chi Epsilon, among other distinctions. He serves as one of the advisors for the Auburn University student chapter of Engineers Without Borders, having developed drinking water systems in Rwanda and Guatemala.

Citywide Access Specialist, City of San Diego/Sustainability and Mobility Department
Ms. Warner has dedicated over 30 years to planning, designing, and constructing public facilities, with a strong focus on accessible design for the past 25 years. Her goal is to ensure that individuals of all abilities can enjoy the City of San Diego facilities. Ms. Warner has held positions in various departments, including Engineering, Parks, and Public Works, and is currently with the Sustainability and Mobility Department, specifically in the ADA Compliance and Accessibility Section. Her influence extends beyond her current role. Ms. Warner actively collaborates on developing street design guidelines, curb ramp design guidelines and standards, municipal codes, and public rights-of-way policies. Her oversight of the City’s accessibility compliance program and implementation of improvements outlined in the Facilities and the Right-of-Way (ROW) Transition Plan demonstrate her comprehensive approach to accessibility. Ms. Warner holds a master of science degree in Architectural Engineering and is a Certified Access Specialist. She also reviews design and construction documents, provides training, and develops new standards and guidelines to ensure compliance with accessibility regulations. Ms. Warner is a board member of California’s Certified Access Specialists Institute.

Master Electrician at Chambers Electric, Inc. Iowa City, IAMr. Chambers is a State of Iowa Electrical Examining Board Approved Instructor and a licensed Class A master electrician with more than 48 years of experience in all areas of the trade. Teaching is one of his greatest passions and he loves passing on knowledge and skills to others. Mr. Chambers taught electrical apprentices for the Associated Builders and Contractors of Iowa for 30 years. He currently teaches classes on the National Electrical Code Update, license exam preparation, grounding and bonding, electrical theory, electric motors, transformers, motor controls, health care facilities wiring, troubleshooting, residential wiring, commercial and industrial wiring, agricultural wiring, ampacity calculations, conduit and box sizing calculations, voltage drop calculations, commercial service calculations, overcurrent protection, the NEC for PV installers, swimming pool wiring, and arc flash safety. Mr. Chambers has taught classes for seven Iowa community colleges, many Iowa industries, the University of Iowa, UI Hospitals and Clinics, the VA Medical Center, and private classes for electrical contractors. He is also a past president and past membership chair of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, Iowa Chapter. On an unrelated note, Mr. Chambers is a two-time inductee into the Iowa Rock-and-Roll Hall of Fame.

He graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering and a specialization in construction management and project management information systems.
Mr. Christianson started in the industry as a PM at his family-owned GC sitework company in Anchorage, Alaska. Mr. Christianson has managed projects and field crews for self-performing subcontracting companies specializing in the concrete, masonry, steel, carpentry, utilities, landscaping, and earthwork trades for both union and non-union companies. Jerry McAdams
Senior Captain and NFPA-Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist (CWMS) with the Boise Fire Department in Boise, Idaho.Mr. McAdams has over 20 years of experience working in the fire service, in both operations, prevention, and wildfire. He has served as a member of the board of directors for the International Association of Wildland Fire (IAWF) and on the editorial board for Wildfire Magazine, is an experienced fire investigator and holds International Code Council (ICC) certifications as Fire Inspector I, II and Fire Plans Examiner. He has been a guest speaker/panelist for several webinars, as well as presenting at numerous national and international conferences. Mr. McAdams started MC Fire, LLC, in 2017 to provide professional consulting services – primarily writing WUI Code and Wildfire Safety Plans for AHJ’s, developers and campuses, as well as providing training and instruction for wildfire mitigation, fire investigation and code compliance. He instructs courses about structural ignition vulnerabilities and creating fire adapted communities. Mr. McAdams graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Boise State University. On a more personal note, Mr. McAdams and his wife, Dana, have been together for 30 years, they have four adult children and three grandchildren. He and his wife live in Meridian, Idaho, a suburb of Boise. Mr. McAdams loves to be in the outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing, dirt-bike riding, etc., and is a NAUI Certified Advanced Rescue Scuba Diver. Most notable excursions for he and his wife were diving the Nuestra Señora de Atocha shipwreck out of Key West; the Great Barrier Reef out of Port Douglas and Cairns, Australia; and the Mesoamerican Reef out of Roatan and Utila, Honduras, as well as various locations in Hawaii, California, Utah and Idaho.
